What is Mediation
Mediation is a private and informal process for resolving disputes in which a mediator meets with the parties to the dispute and attempts to help the parties reach an agreement. The confidentiality of mediation allows parties to explore resolution of their dispute knowing that the details of their discussions remain private. The mediator is neutral and impartial. More
Mediation Guide
Mediation often ends with the parties involved in the dispute signing a settlement agreement. However, mediation is a voluntary process. No party will be forced into a settlement agreement unless they are satisfied with it, and any party can end the mediation at any time. However, your best interests may not be served if you do not take the time to prepare for the mediation. The chances of reaching an agreement at the mediation which is satisfactory to both sides will be higher if aspects of the dispute are considered. Our Mediators
CoRe mediations are conducted as mentored mediations in order to provide clients with highly skilled mediators while also creating opportunities for newer mediators to gain experience. That means that your mediation at CoRe will be conducted by two mediators: one will be a professional mentor-mediator and the second will be a law student-mediator.
Student Mediators
The CoRe Clinic is operated by a dedicated group of law student volunteers under the guidance of a Clinic Head and the Clinic Supervisor. These student clinicians manage the office, provide advice on mediation, and schedule mediations. More
