Vicki Chapman is a solicitor, currently policy director at the Legal Action Group and member of the Civil Justice Council; policy officer at the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux 1994-6: author of Barriers to Justice, a study of CAB clients' experience of legal services; solicitor at the Child Poverty Action Group 1988-92, in charge of CPAG's test case strategy, involving Judicial Review and litigation before the European Court of Justice; solicitor at the Low Pay Unit 1986-88; solicitor in private practice 1983-86.
