| Tamara Goriely is a Research Fellow at the
Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and a partner in TPR Social and Legal Research. After
qualifying as a barrister, she worked in a Law Centre for five years. From 1985 to 1990,
she was a Senior Policy Officer for the National Consumer Council, responsible for their
work on courts and legal services. She then worked for the Legal Action Group, considering
lessons for the English legal aid scheme from other jurisdictions. She now specialises in
researching legal aid and dispute resolution, and is conducting the independent evaluation
of the pilot public defender scheme in Edinburgh. |
