Peter Levenkamp

(The Netherlands)

Peter Levenkamp (1955) studied law at Amsterdam University (1974-1980).

In that period he was member of the Board of the Amsterdam Law Shop. Since 1995, Peter has been Head of the Legal Aid Department of the Ministry of Justice in the Hague. The Department is responsible for the governmental policy on legal aid, the juridical professions (advocacy, notary and other professions) and the alternative dispute resolution. In 1999, the Department will start with a new mediation program.
